Similar labels can have different consequences
Clearing cache removes local temporary files. Clearing history acts on messages in a conversation. Clearing app data through the phone’s settings or logging out affects local state and sessions. Read the confirmation carefully before continuing.
Try downloading an available attachment again
The cloud source must still exist
If the message remains available in the cloud chat, reopen it and try downloading the attachment. If the original is gone, do not rely on an old cache. Check separately saved downloads and prior exports instead.
Do not use cache clearing as a universal repair
It does not reverse deletion
It cannot undo deletion for both participants or restore a deleted account. For a conversation missing from the list, check search, archive and the selected profile first. Secret Chats have different limits from ordinary cloud history.

Is cache a backup of my conversations?
No. Temporary files are not a dependable archive of the full chat.
I uninstalled the app instead. What now?
Try normal sign-in to the original account for ordinary cloud history. Secret Chat data may have been lost with the local session.
