Check the device where the chat existed
It is not ordinary cloud history
Look on the original device and in the relevant session. Do not expect the chat to appear in Telegram Web or through ordinary synchronisation to a new phone. This is a fundamental difference from a cloud conversation.
Understand what logging out changes
Do not erase the remaining session
Telegram warns that logging out loses Secret Chats in that session. Avoid signing out or clearing application data as an experiment. If that local history is already lost, there is no cloud copy to synchronise back.
Deletion and self-destruct timers
Only independent surviving copies can help
Self-destruction is part of the Secret Chat model. Do not assume destroyed content can be retrieved from Telegram servers. You can check only legitimately saved materials you already have or copies voluntarily shared by the participant.
Proof X is not a Secret Chat recovery tool
Business access has a different scope
Connected business bots work within the permitted cloud-chat mechanisms. This site does not claim that Proof X receives or restores Secret Chat history, and it is not offered as a recovery solution for this situation.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my Secret Chat disappear after reinstalling?
It is tied to the local session and does not synchronise like ordinary cloud history.
Can Desktop export back it up?
The ordinary Telegram Desktop export of cloud chats does not create a copy of a phone’s Secret Chat.
Sources and limitations
Technical guidance is based on documentation. Menu names may differ in your app version. Proof X descriptions are based on project materials; saving coverage depends on data actually received.
