Schedule a message on your phone

  1. Open the conversation and verify the recipient.
  2. Write your message.
  3. Hold Send to open its additional actions.
  4. Select Schedule Message and choose a date and time.

Read the text before confirming. For your first test, use a short note in Saved Messages rather than an accidental message to someone else.

Check the desktop controls

In Telegram Desktop, inspect the Send button’s context menu for scheduling, then review the chosen time. The separate macOS app or web client may present controls differently.

If you cannot find the option, do not press ordinary Send expecting a time picker afterwards: your message may be sent immediately. Try the official mobile client.

Set a reminder in Saved Messages

Open Saved Messages, write a task with enough context and schedule it. For example, “On Thursday, check payment for order 125” is clearer than “check it”. Scheduling in your personal storage acts as a reminder.

For an important task, check Telegram’s notification permissions on your device. Also record the deadline in your calendar if missing it would matter.

Before leaving the app

Review the scheduled-message queue, wording, recipient and date. If plans change, open the queued item’s actions and use the available rescheduling or deletion option. Check that you are modifying a pending item rather than an already-sent message.

Scheduling does not preserve earlier versions of a conversation or retrieve deleted history. Keeping a copy of available messages requires a separate saving method.
