Where to open Saved Messages
On Android, check the main menu → Saved Messages. On iPhone, check Settings → Saved Messages. In Telegram Desktop, open the main menu and look for the bookmark icon. In the separate macOS app, check Saved in search. Controls can differ by app version.
If you use multiple accounts, select the right one first: saved notes belong to that account.
Save a message or file
- Select the message you want to keep.
- If forwarding is available, choose Forward and select Saved Messages.
- Open Saved Messages and confirm that the text or attachment arrived.
You can also write a note directly. Include a memorable word such as ticket or order to make it easier to find later. Respect any forwarding restrictions set by the sender.
Search and viewing by chat
Use search inside Saved Messages and enter a distinctive phrase. If View as Chats is enabled, open the relevant source chat or switch to View as Messages in the section menu. A changed view does not mean your notes were deleted.
For a file, recall its name, attachment type or approximate saving date. Start with one clue rather than making the search too narrow.
If your saved messages are missing
Check the account, viewing mode and search. Then confirm that the message was actually forwarded: an original message in another chat is not automatically added to Saved Messages.
If the item was deleted from Saved Messages itself, look for a separate copy such as the original message, a downloaded file or an earlier export. This section is not a recycle bin and does not automatically save every conversation.

No. It is a built-in personal Telegram chat.
Is Saved Messages a backup of all chats?
No. It contains the items you sent or forwarded there.
