Settings vary between devices

Search Android settings for Notification history or the equivalent notification log. Not every device offers the same options. Use your manufacturer’s help if necessary. Enabling the feature after deletion does not create entries it never stored.

Look for the relevant Telegram notification

Expect partial information

Check available entries by application and time. Privacy settings may hide the text; long messages may be shortened. A notification may never have arrived if a chat was open or notifications were disabled. No entry does not prove there was no message.

Know the limits of the log

A preview is not a conversation archive

A notification log does not preserve all attachments, message versions and read states. It can help with a short fragment but cannot replace a proper export. The retained history and timing depend on the system and device.

If you use an iPhone

Do not apply Android steps to iOS

You can inspect notifications still available in Notification Centre, but do not treat it as a permanent deleted-message journal. For future important information, choose a saving method whose actual scope you understand.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I enable history after deletion to recover the text?

No. Enabling it does not recreate entries that were never recorded.

Why is only part of the message visible?

Notifications can contain previews rather than the whole message.

Will it recover a voice note?

A notification about a voice message is not the audio file itself.
